COLETTE NEWS FEBRUARY ’09

COLETTE

Guillaume Salmon is PR for colette since more than 5 years, enjoying to be in the middle of different culture and microcosms… From the west coast of France, he is a Parisian since ever and for ever for one reason, because Paris is Magic!!! He will be proud and glad to relate to the colette way of life and here, lists his favorite finds from colette month after month.

Thomsen
Thomsen was born through the interest of three very creative people for one type of garment: shirts! After looking for the perfect shirt, with a cool style, great quality and nice finishings, they realized: they couldn’t find it anywhere! They therefore created a collection for men and women with a great choice of fabrics. Their main concern was to find the right fit, the right process as well as perfect quality.

Petit Bateau X Kitsune
Petit Bateau X Kitsune worked hand-in-hand on a new classic, premiering February 20th at colette and at the concert Petit Bateau x Kitsuné Maison en Vrai ! At La Maroquinerie. The iconic brand ever since the 19th century meets the edgy and demanding label of the early year 2000 to create a t-shirt made in strong cotton but with a certain softness to it, evoking sailing and comfort: somewhat as a second skin. Its fit will be both classic and simple. Its printed knot already catches all the attention.

Sophnet
Japanese brand Sophnet is 10 years old! To celebrate this anniversary, designer Hirofumi Kiyonaga collaborated with Converse to create his own version of famous Chuck Taylor All Star Hi. The shoe keeps that significant aesthetic that made it famous for over 100 years now with a Sophnet twist: a zip on the outside of each foot.
