OFFF FESTIVAL 2007

HAPPENINGText: Eduard Prats Molner

The 2007 edition of the festival is going to close with a live performance of Takagi Masakatsu, an emergent musician and video artist well known for his beautiful audiovisual creations which he performs live.

It couldn’t be a better ending. Live piano and beautiful visuals delight the audience who dedicate a warm applause to the artist and to the event as well.

OFFF will officially conclude between beers and music in the closing party a few hours later. This was the most mature OFFF edition so far. The organization was much better and effective than in the past occasions, and the excellent program was very well balanced.

I want to thank very much Héctor Ayuso and everybody at OFFF for making this possible every year. This is a very inspirational event which is helping to further develop lots of individuals and collectives by making accessible the best in the scene at a very friendly price.

During the 2005 festival’s edition I had the chance to get in contact with Jared Tarbell. He recommended me a book called “Cat’s cardle” which was my first contact with Kurt Vonnegut.

Kurt Vonnegut died at the age of 84 in New York last April. So it goes.

During last two years I enjoyed some of his books and short stories in between science, technology, fantasy, love and war. Kurt’s writing has influenced me and evoked lots of incredible moving pictures and emotions that virtually provoked a Re:fresh.
