Sonar, night acts, Friday 16th

This year, The space for the night performances was enlarged and was now made up by 4 stages, SonarClub, SonarPub, SonarPark and SonarLab.

At 00.45, SonarClub was already packed with people waiting to see the mithical 70ies disco band CHIC feat. Nile Rodgers. When they played the clasics Le FREAK and Good Time, the whole room was dancing.

CHIC

CHIC, with a luxurous line-up, gave one of the most dedicated and hearty concerts of the festival. Definetively one of the best concerts of the 06 edition, without any sound problems. C’ est Chic…

Nightmares

The night went on with live acts and the public roaming back and forth between the different stages in the vast area of the Recinto Ferial 2. On the SonarPub stage, one could see the Nightmares on Wax who performed songs from their last album In a Space Outta Sound, where they mixed soul, r&b, funk and hip hip. In their live perfromance they were supported by the Iration Steppas Sound System.

The Party on Friday culminated in outstanding and very danceable acts like the ones by the Frenchman Laurent Garnier, the British Matthew Herbert and the Canadian in-guy Tiga.
