To face with this absurd and insecure condition and to fight against the inconvenience, how much reason do we need? Rather than reason or logic, it may be more effective to fight with intinct, sense and sensitivity which we all originally have. History of art is history of fighingt for freedom. Artists face with and fight against convention, system, power and difficult situations.

In this exhibition, they exhibit 15 artists and about 100 works, mainly from the collection of WATARI-UM. These works tell us how to fight for freedom. Each one has different methods and ways to live or fight, but, their mind, never to yield to anyone, is same.

Artist: Huang Yong Ping, John Cage, Joseph Beuys, Nam June Paik, Yoko Ono, Nobuaki Takekawa, Buckminster Fuller, Alexander Rodchenko, Max Bill, Andy Warhol, Gilbert&George, Keith Haring, Allen Ginsberg, Robert Mapplethorpe, BIEN
