ALEJANDRO PARISI

PEOPLEText: Gisella Lifchitz

During these moments, and others, Parisi started painting figurative landscapes, and then he moved to the human body, he even explored erotic drawings. Now his works are mostly abstract. He uses everything he finds to draw, paint and create.

“My work is very intuitive also, he comments, but I need to organize that intuition. So I use different formats and tools to get to the final piece”.

Parisi likes to define himself as a “brush painter”. Nowadays he’s passing through the stage of “floating colours”: beautiful big shapes in vibrant colours which remind me of the French Fauves.

He plays freely with contrast as if he was running through great green fields. That’s his world, his backyard, and we want to become a part of that world, too.

Somehow Parisi seems like a lonely soul in the middle of the ocean. But he’s aware of his geography, and he knows where he’s going.
