An art gallery “Granvista Gallery Sapporo” at the long established hotel “Sapporo Grand Hotel” will present the exhibition “Float – the world of light and motion” by Takamichi Ito.

Takamichi Ito was born in Sapporo, Hokkaido in 1939. He is the forefront of kinetic sculptor who has worked on show window display of Ginza Shiseido, theme pavilion and Japan pavilion at EXPO’70 OSAKA JAPAN, various hotels, public spaces, and parks after graduating from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.

Also he created the design of Sapporo White Illumination which has continued for more than 30 years. Including two-dimensional works, he will release his new artworks related to the landscapes of winter in 70’s.
