FANTASIA OF BRUNO MUNARI: WHAT IS THE CREATIVE POWER?

The exhibition of Bruno Munari will be held at Vangi Sculpture Garden Museum in Shizuoka. He is an Italian artist who was active in wide range works such as paintings, sculptures, toys, illustration books, graphic design, and product design. Born in Milan in 20th century, he had produced many of evocative works and always surprise people in his unique ideas with witty wisdom. The “Fantasia” which was his favorite word indicates free images and abilities.

The exhibition presents Munari’s works not limited in art, design field, and illustration books, play equipments which we can touch. Also you can experience “Let’s Make a Tree”, “Direct Projection”, “Collage”, “Various Forms” and “Texture”, these 5 workshops which he designed and played with children around the world.
Feel free to visit the exhibition to come sense of “Fantasia” through creative experience of playing.

As related events, the lecture by Kiyoshi Iwasaki, the artist talk by Yasuhiro Suzuki, and some workshops will be held.
