NEXT-GENE20 is the project aimed at realizing 20 villas designed by 20 architects from all over the world in the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area, 50 minutes from Taipei, Taiwan.

The various projects from 10 Taiwanese architects and 10 internationally selected architects; Kengo Kuma, Akihisa Hirata, Hailim Suh, Toshiko Mori, Yung Ho Chang, MVRDV, IaN+, Fernando Menis, GRAFT, Julien De Smedt, Shu-Chang Kung, David Chun-Tei Tseng, Kris Yao, Jay Wen-Chieh Chiu, Kyle Chia-kai Yang, Hsueh-Yi Chien, Irving Hung-Hui Huang, Ray Chen, Sheng-Yuan Huang, Yu-Tung Liu, though varying in their design solutions, all share a clear attitude towards experimentation and towards a dialogue with nature and the surrounding landscape. Drawings, models, renderings illustrate the ideas developed by the invited architects are now shown.

Started in the fall of 2007, NEXT-GENE20 has scheduled the beginning of construction for July 2008. The houses will be ready and up for sale by December 2009.
