Avon Celli 1922
Founded in Milan in 1922, the house of Avon Celli was originally founded to create mesh swimwear. Strong in savoir-faire, the brand has over time become synonymous with Italian chic and luxury. From Hollywood to Madison Avenue, their designs have been worn by all the greats: Frank Sinatra, Gary Cooper, Ronald Reagan, Gianni Agnelli and Picasso. Avon Celli 1922 has for 60 years been the symbol of a certain status. Today, as a worthy heir to Avon Celli (inventor of polo) Carlo Brandelli (formerly of Kilgour) reigns over the collections. Exclusively at colette for Paris.

The north circular
“Knitted by grannies, supported by supermodels”, this is The North Circular motto. The brand arrives at colette this winter. Four trendy girls (Katherine Poulton, Alice Shelby who went to St Martin’s, Isobel Davies and super model Lily Cole) join forces to create a knitwear collection for drinking tea and gossiping with your girlfriends. Scarves, mittens, collars and other accessories knitted by grannies using the wool of rare sheep from Wensleydale in England. In addition to having talent, these ladies have morality, 10% of the profits will be donated to “The Ethical Justice Foundation.” And if you would like to meet these great ladies, come to colette on July 5th from 6 to 7 pm.
