“Untitled” by Sebastian Zarius is a work with simple and colorful graphic works set out, while many other works use unique and complex display. This is really a basic of flat exhibiting, but attracted my attention. It seems neatness, but I felt pop and cheerfulness from each work, which seems to fall out the frame.

“The past is changed by now, and now is by the future 2” by Satoshi Hata, one of veteran creators in Sapporo. There are flat works on the wall and also a work like a music arch. I felt the music from the arch undulating and expanding on the wall.

“I still don’t know anything about one world” by Akihiro Kuroda, a collection of composite drawings by charcoal. The natural touch and the number of exhibits were overwhelming. The title is contrast with the strength of the works, which might be from the depth and diverseness of human beings that the creator himself felt during drawing.

This exhibition aims to introduce local contemporary artists with people in Sapporo. They have a concept to let many people enjoy or be inspired by the contemporary art, which tends to be said hard to understand. I would like to continuously expect the expansion of this activity as a new movement of “provider side” in Sapporo.

I saw old people or student groups enjoying the exhibits with staff’s instruction. I would like to see the next one too as a contemporary art exhibition everyone can enjoy. Please look forward to the next announcement.
