COLETTE NEWS FEBRUARY ’06

COLETTE

Former Aussie and now try-hard Parisien writer Linlee Allen wholly confesses to being the “all-round groupie” of concept store colette, located in the French capital. Having participated in the world-famous boutique’s range of events across the globe, whether it be performing in a radio show in Copenhagen, photographing guests at a party in Japan or being the first – and the last – one on the dancefloor at a CD launch party in New York, she relates to the colette way of life and here, lists her favourite finds from colette for the Autumn/Winter 05/06 season ahead.

CHRISTINA DARRAS ACCESSORIESi
Out with the minimalism and in with the zany! A recent addition to the colette accessory line-up is Greek designer Christina Darras and her super cool necklaces which come with an innovative Plastic Fantastic printed bag.

AQUA DOG
Too funny for words and the fact that it comes from Australia just tops it off really. Meat-flavoured water for the fussiest bitch on four legs! Available in Beef and Chicken, this is the latest craze for all of the ladies who lunch with their canine companions in the downstairs water bar at colette.

NEW BALANCE KITSUNE TRAINERS
French music label Kitsune meets teams up for a second collaboration with New Balance to create a limited-edition trainer N576 in black leather. Exclusively at colette and featuring an embroidered “Kitsune en espagnol” trademark on the inner sole. Nice one.

WILL SWEENEY FIGURINES
We’re big fans of artist Will Sweeney’s work (so much so that we’re hosting an exhibition of his work in the colette gallery throughout the month of February). In 2005 he created the character Hot Dog man and made him into a figurine. For 2006 its the Kebab Henchmen named Kleptikos and Periwinkle. A must-have for all toy collectors.Special pAlakazam…
