MODERN ART FESTIVAL VIRUS 9

HAPPENINGText: Emanuelis Ryklys

A new-born fusedMARc band from Vilnius (Lithuania) performed their live electronic, triphop, headnodding gig. Later on Kitoki, DJs Vidis and M-Key (Lithuania) with Mikael Norgren aka D’Malicious (Sweden) presented their uplifting dancefloor set.

Inside VIRUS Dance and Theather audience were sweeten with Lithuania’s premium modern dance performances “Drowned valley” by Vytis Jankauskas and “Processus” by Aira Nagineviciute and some Lithuanian mono-performances.

VIRUS Jazz infected us with the best Europe’s flute player Ronald Snijders (Holland) project “West by West” full of Afro-caribbean vibes.

And finally VIRUS Relax gave us time to discus all what we see and hear with our friends in a cozy cafe “Elitas”.

The future plans of the Festival is expansion of art to the city streets and neighborhoods. The educational program and international co-operation will be developed as well.

The annual festivals VIRUS are of great importance developing modern art traditions, new challenges for cultural co-operation in Europe.
