Kestutis Grigaliunas (Vilnius)

Stamp it! Don’t really know how many but lots of different stamp forms were conected to bright and long table. Kestutis Grigaliunas was the one who invite us to play on his table with stamps.

Kestutis Grigaliunas (Vilnius)

The first stamps he remembers were stamps with pioneer girl and boy from DDR in his early childhood and now he has amazing collection which share with us. Take it. Stamp it.

“Liquid Cube”, Saulius Paliukas (Lithunia)

“Liquid Space” or you could rename it “Liquid Cube” by videoartist Saulius Paliukas. Quite a common technique for this artist. Live painting. Looks nice.

“Journey”, Aleksas Andriuskevicius (Kaunas)

Walking. Walking in lying position. Videofilm started as a performance in Kaunas town hall by Aleksas Andriuskevicius called “Journey”. Quite simple way of “frightening” or make happy people. Try it yourself. It should work.

“Through Freedom”, Gintaras Cesonis (Kaunas)

This picture from Gintaras Cesonis collection “Through Freedom”. It’s 100% Kaunas. Girls with short skirts are always walking down the Freedom avenue in Kaunas. No matter is it Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winder. You can alway see theam in short skirts. It’s so kichy but it’s part of Kaunas social and cultural life. Freedom avenue is always like a catwalk. Everyday and espesially on weekend. In background you can see wonderful Kaunas central post office. Lots of these rounded corner style buildings in this town. Love them. And big applause to Gintaras picture – that’s my favourite in the exhibition.

At Kaunas Picture Gallery and Meno parkas, 15th September – 15th October 2006.
