OFFF FESTIVAL 2010

La Grande Halle de la Villette is a nice space for conferences and with great acoustic. The sound problems experienced in previous editions of the festival have been solved this time. However, there have been other issues that the festival should try to fix for future occasions. The free WIFI was saturated since the very first hour of the festival which made very difficult the work of some colleagues who wanted to tweet and post live from the event. Another issue is that OFFF is not publicly archiving nor streaming video of the conferences as it happens in most of other similar events.

OFFF turned 10 years old, but Paris wasn’t this kind of special edition that I was expecting. It surely kept its atmosphere and philosophy, but since the festival left the CCCB in Barcelona, the exhibition has almost disappeared as it happened last two years in Portugal.

Tenth OFFF edition closed with a performance by Lullatone with beautiful visuals by Michael Paul Young.

After 10 years, the “Online Flash Film Festival” evolved, grew and became a new classic. These 10 years of the festival are now available in a playful book entitled Aim High, Keep Moving!
