The gallery “ARATANIURANO” at Minato-ku Shirokane was renamed as “URANO” when it moved and reopened in September 2016.同時代性を色濃く反映、次世代を牽引するような国内外のアーティストに着目し、展覧会やプロジェクトなどを企画しているギャラリー「URANO」。港区白金のギャラリー「ARATANIURANO」が移転に伴い「URANO」と名称変更し、東京･天王洲のテラダ アート コンプレックス内に2016年9月にオープンした。

“YAMAMOTO GENDAI” introduces artists represented who often work with unique techniques and methods and new media across the border of existing art genres. It has a lot of artists boasting distinctive techniques that surpass traditional technique omni-directional works by using various existing art genres.存／故、生年、メディアやテクニックを問わず、既存のジャンルを超え、コンセプトを重視した国内外の作品及びアーティストを紹介しているギャラリー「山本現代」。伝統技術を凌ぐような独特の技法を誇る作家を多くかかえ、既存のジャンルを叉に掛ける全方位的作品を紹介している。

“KOSAKU KANECHIKA”, a gallery opened independently by Kosaku Kanechika who worked as a director for a long time at Tomio Koyama Gallery, which handles contemporary art. It is planning on the exhibitions of domestic artists who are highly valued even overseas art scenes and noteworthy overseas artists, with new expressions not confined by existing frameworks.現代美術を取り扱う小山登美夫ギャラリーで長きにわたりディレクターを務めてきた金近幸作が独立し、オープンさせたギャラリー「KOSAKU KANECHIKA」。既存の枠に囚われない新しい表現で、海外のアートシーンでも高く評価される国内作家や、注目すべき海外作家の展覧会を企画している。

The gallery “SCAI THE BATHHOUSE” which was renovated of Kashiwayu, a venerable public bath with a 200-year history, opened “SCAI PARK” in TERRADA ART COMPLEX as their second space. Not only sending the most advanced Japanese artists to the world but also positively introducing overseas excellent artists who are not yet known in Japan at the same time.200年の歴史を持つ由緒ある銭湯「柏湯」を改装したギャラリー「SCAI THE BATHHOUSE」（スカイ・ザ・バイスハウス）が第二スペースとして天王洲のテラダ アート コンプレックスにオープンした「SCAI PARK」（スカイパーク）。最先鋭の日本のアーティストを世界に向けて発信すると同時に、日本ではまだ知られていない海外の優れた作家を積極的に紹介している。

TERRADA ART COMPLEX accumulated contents related to the art project and opened in September 2016 to make Tennoz, Tokyo the destination of art culture. At the opening, the atelier space TAC ART STUDIO for artists on the second floor, and four galleries Kodama Gallery | Tennoz, URANO, YAMAMOTO GENDAI and YUKA TSURUNO GALLERY on the third floor has opened. On the fifth floor, two new galleries SCAI PARK and KOSAKU KANECHIKA opened in last March 2017.東京･天王洲を芸術文化の発信地とするべく、アート事業に関連したコンテンツを集積した「TERRADA ART COMPLEX」（テラダ アート コンプレックス）が2016年9月にオープンした。オープンに伴い、２階はアーティストのためのアトリエスペース「TAC ART STUDIO」、３階には「児玉画廊｜天王洲」、「URANO」、「山本現代」、「ユカ・ツルノ・ギャラリー」の４つのギャラリーが入居し、５階には2017年3月に「SCAI PARK」、「KOSAKU KANECHIKA」の２つの新ギャラリーが入居した。

マオ・スペースMAO SPACE

Established in the early autumn 2014, MAO SPACE debuts itself vigorously in Shanghai with its own perception, interpretation, and confidence upon contemporary art. Founded by the Purple Roof Gallery, who has curated Jing’an International Sculpture Project as well as other numerous significant sculpture projects, MAO SPACE has shown its prominent local strength and in-depth understanding in diverse art forms. 1920年代に毛沢東が居住していた古民家をリノベーションした「マオ・スペース」が、パープル・ルーフ・ギャラリーのメンバーによって2014年にオープンした。館内には毛沢東の直筆の書や器、写真などの貴重な資料が展示されているほか、現代アートを展示するスペースが設けられている。

Damien Hirst is arguably one of the most well-known artists in the UK, and since breaking out onto the art scene in the 1990s he has stamped his mark onto the concept of being an artist. In 1995 he won the Turner Prize and he has been acclaimed for how he has raised the profile of art in the UK.1990年代にアートシーンに現れ、従来のアーティストという概念を覆したダミアン・ハーストは、おそらくイギリスで最も有名なアーティストといっても過言ではないだろう。1995年にイギリスの国立美術館テートよりターナー賞を受賞し、イギリスのアートに対する人々の注目度を高めたと讃えられた。
