GEOFFREY FARMER “LET’S MAKE THE WATER TURN BLACK”

Vancouver-based artist Geoffrey Farmer will exhibit his first solo exhibition in Los Angeles at REDCAT from February 18 to April 10. Regarded internationally for his cumulative, research-based projects, Farmer creates context-specific sculptural works that grapple with his longstanding interest in the relationship between art objects and theories of drama and dramatization.

David Bray “Great Disasters of the 20th Century”

David Bray creates delicate and time-consuming drawings which explore emotion, utopia and a world of fantasy through his subject matter of the beautiful and erotic, but the unnatainable female form. His new solo exhibition will be held at StolenSpace Gallery in London, being inspired by the record ‘Great Disasters of the Twentieth Century’ by Georg Lubitzer, on which there is a track called 70 days.

From 28 – 30 January 2011, transmediale, club transmediale (CTM), Create Berlin and a multitude of Berlin partners together will run an event of the inaugural Digital Art & Sound (DAS) Weekend. At DAS Weekend 2011, more than 70 independent organisations, venues and individuals active in Berlin will present their activities by setting up their own events and opening doors to their spaces.

Art Los Angeles Contemporary

Art Los Angeles Contemporary 2010 at The Pacific Design Center

A Los Angeles’ international contemporary art fair,Art Los Angeles Contemporary will be held as its second year from January 27th to 30th. After a successful inaugural edition produced in West Hollywood at the Pacific Design Center, the art fair relocates in 2011 to the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. The fair will show works from 70 top international blue chip and emerging galleries from around the world, with a strong focus on Los Angeles galleries, along with some special programs and events.
