The island of Djurgården is property of the Swedish Royal Crown. It´s part of the urban city center of Stockholm and actually one of the most popular getaways in town since is it fully covered with parks, museums, restaurantsスウェーデン王室によって所有、統治されているユールゴーデン島は、ストックホルムの中心部に位置しており、公園、博物館、レストラン、さらには、動物園や遊園地などの施設が充実していることから、最も人気のあるレジャースポットのひとつとなっている。ここにあるリリエバルク美術館は、20世紀の幕開けと同時期のオープン以来、市内で最も重要な施設のひとつに数えられている。
リリエバルクは、さほど広くはないが均衡の保たれた空間と、併設のレストラン「ブロ・ポルテン」が有名だ。そこは手頃な値段で素晴らしいスウェーデン料理を味わうことができる市内でも有数の場所であり、レストランのみとしても独立している。建物の設計はカール・バーグステンの手によるもので、アール・ヌーボー様式からの影響を見て取ることができる。
リリエバルクで開催される 「ヴォルサロンゲン」は、毎年春に行われるもっともポピュラーなサロンのひとつだ。作品は匿名で応募され、1920年の創設以来、毎年違う審査員がその選考にあたっている。応募にあたっての必要条件はスウェーデンに住所を持っていることと、19歳以上であることのみ。多くの有名アーティストが初期のこのサロンに出品している。
2009年は、ヨーン・ハフストロームによる「イケアの50年」やマッタ・モース・フェッテストロームなどのエキシビジョンが選考を通過。それぞれ約３ヶ月間にわたって展示される。是非とも訪れてほしい場所だ。

Translation: Kazuyuki Yoshimura and also the zoo and amusement park is located there. Here is located the art gallery. The visit is amust. It´s one of the most important institutions in town since its inauguration at the beginning of 20th century.
Liljevalchs is renowned for its well-proportioned spaces in a range of sizes and its restaurant Blå Porten which actually is one of the best places in town to get extraordinary swedish food for a really good price. It also works separeretly itself as restaurant. Carl Bergsten is was the designer of the building and it was influenced by the Art Nouveau.
Liljevalchs holds Vårsalongen. It´s the “annual spring fair,” one of the most popular art meetings every year. Pieces are sent in anonymously. Since 1920, every year they have a different jury to select the applications. The only requirement is a currently address in Sweden and be over 18 years old.
A lot of famous artist has exhibited during the early days in Vårsalongen.
Exhibitions such Jan Håfström, “50 years of IKEA” and Märta Måås-Fjetterström have passed during year 2009 in Liljevalchs. Period time for each exhibition is about 3 months of duration.
