A new art gallery Granvista Gallery Sapporo opened in the long established Sapporo Grand Hotel in July 2nd, 2013. It is located in the main lobby of its grand floor. As a space to communicate to the hotel and guests1934年開業の老舗ホテル、札幌グランドホテルの本館１階メインロビーに2013年7月2日、新しくアートギャラリー「グランビスタギャラリー サッポロ」が誕生。お客様とホテルの交流の場として、アート、グラフィックなど、生活文化に関わる展示を約２ヶ月ごとに企画を予定している。
北海道初の本格的洋式ホテルとして誕生した札幌グランドホテルは、新たなことに挑戦し続けながらも、古き佳き時代を大切に、一貫して“本物の良さ” を追求している。札幌グランドホテルは2012年暮れから大規模なリニューアルが行われ、今月６月には駅前通りに面するレストラン「ノーザンテラスダイナー」がオープンしたばかり。
シティジャズなど音楽を身近に楽しむ機会が増えてきた札幌の街。札幌グランドホテルは昭和60年から本格的なジャズライブ、アーティストの生演奏を楽しめるイベント「ジャズナイト・イン・オールドサルーン1934」を年間通じて行っている。現在は北海道をはじめとする新鋭若手アーティストの演奏も愉しめる場になっており、北海道・札幌から文化を発信し続けている。

Sapporo Grand Hotel is opened as a first western style hotel in Hokkaido. While it continues to give new moods, they cherish the good old days and are consistently seeking “genuine quality”. As a place to enjoy music by emerging young artists from mainly Hokkaido, The hotel continues to introduce new cultures from Sapporo, Hokkaido.
