A latest art museum is opening in Hong Kong on 29th May 2018. Named as “Tai Kwun“, meaning “Big Station”, it is located on Hollywood Road in Central, Hong Kong. This is a project by a Swiss architectual team Herzog & de Meuron, which is also the architect of Tate Modern in London, UK (2000) and the National Stadium Beijing in China (2008), also the upcoming M+ museum in Hong Kong (2019). Transformed from the former Central Police Station which was built in 1864, Tai Kwun has its own historical value to locals also it is a herritage spot. Being a hub of art exhibition, interiors and heritage, it is a new rise in Hong Kong with an art highlight.新たな美術館が2018年5月29日、香港にオープンした。香港の中心にあるハリウッド・ロードにあるこの美術館は「大きな駅」を意味する「タイ・クゥン」と名付けられた。これはスイスの建築チーム、ヘルツォーク&ド・ムーロンのプロジェクトで、彼らは2000年には英国ロンドンのテートモダンを、2008年には北京国家体育場の建築も手がけ、更に2019年には香港のM+博物館をも手がける予定だ。1864年に建設された元中央警察署から改装されたタイ・クゥンは地元住民にとっても歴史的な価値があり、さらには遺産的な場所でもある。アート展、内装、遺産の拠点となるこの場所は、香港のアートをハイライトする注目スポットとなるだろう。

イヴ・サンローラン美術館Musée Yves Saint Laurent

Yves Saint Laurent is the king of the mode style fashion of France. A museum dedicated to him opened in Paris in October 2017. The place which became the museum was originally the office of the Yves Saint Laurent Foundation and where Yves himself had used as an atelier and an office for 30 years. An aristocratic house was renovated and turned into this museum. There, you experience the creation of Yves Saint Laurent that you can feel Parisian elegance.イヴ・サンローランは、フランスを代表とするモードの帝王だ。彼の個人美術館が2017年10月、パリにオープンした。美術館となった場所は、元々イヴ・サンローラン財団の事務所であり、イヴ自身が30年間アトリエ兼オフィスとして使用していたゆかりのあるところ。貴族の家を改装したこの美術館では、パリらしいエレガンスが感じられるイヴ・サンローランのクリエーションに触れることができる。

Repurposed from bubble-era snack bars (similar to hostess bars), y gion is a collaborative space that offers pop-up art exhibitions, live music shows, culinary experiences, and retail shops. Opening in Fall 2017, y gion brings artistic diversity to Kyoto’s famed Gion district with a five-story building complete with a panoramic rooftop view of the Kamo river.京阪三条駅の南に位置するバブル時代のスナックバーを再利用した「y gion」はポップアップのアート展覧会、ライブミュージック、料理、小売店などが集まるコラボスペース。鴨川のパノラマビューが見える屋上つき５階建てビルのこの施設は、2017年秋のオープニングから京都・祇園にアーティスティックな多様性を提案している。

In the exhibition, “Singapore: Inside Out” which was held in August 2017 with great success, she worked not only as an artist but also as an Art Director and direct the entire exhibition.アーティスト、デザイナー、アートディレクター…さまざまな肩書を持ち、幅広い領域を横断して精力に活動するシンガポールのクリエイター・クララ・イー。2017年8月に開催され、大盛況のうちに幕を閉じた展覧会「シンガポール：インサイド・アウト」では、アーティストとしてだけでなく、アートディレクターとして展覧会全体のディレクションも手掛けた。

Whitestone Gallery, opened in 1967, is located in Sukiyabashi street, Ginza – a traditional area which conjures up the image of the Edo period. Since opening, it has showcased many masterpieces of modern and contemporary art, and has been well-recognised internationally. The Whitestone gallery also has branches in Karuizawa, Hong Kong, and Taipei. The gallery’s artwork also often make appearances in art fairs and galleries outside Japan.江戸の記憶を今に伝える、由緒ある銀座・数寄屋橋通り。高度成長期から銀座の発展と歩みを共にしてきた瀟洒なビルディングのスペースを改修し、創業50周年を迎えた老舗アート・ギャラリーが、銀座では２店舗目となる新たなスペースを2017年に開廊した。

Novartis International AG, is a Swiss multinational pharmaceutical company that resulted from the merger of Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz. Their headquarter, called ‘Novatis Campus’, is located in Basel, on the Swiss side of the border with France.世界トップの製薬会社ノバルティス本社のキャンパスはスイスとフランスの国境沿いのバーゼル側に建ち並んでいる。バーゼルをヘッドクウォーターとして1996年に指定した後、2001年にライン川沿いにあるザンクト・ヨハン工場地帯を改修し、14棟のラボ・オフィスを設けることにした。

F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG is a Swiss multinational healthcare company, founded by Fritz Hoffmann-La Roche in 1896. The company started off as a small factory, producing various vitamin preparations and derivatives. It is located in the industrial area, Kleinbasel. Another side of factory, divided by the Rhine river, was called Grossbasel which was a commercial and cultural centre.世界の製薬業界でトップを争う企業ロッシュは、バーゼルヘッドクウォーターキャンパスに2015年、会社のシンボルとなるメインタワーを設けた。デザインは地元出身であり、建築業界でもお馴染みのヘルツォーグ&ドムーロン。これを機にロッシュタワーはスイスで一番高かったチューリッヒのプライムタワー（126m）を追い抜き178メートルで堂々と一位。2021年にはさらにもう一棟27メートルほど高いオフィスハイライズが建てられ、スイスを代表するバーゼルのツインタワーが完成する。
