“Tezukayama Gallery” collects contemporary art in the United States, Europe and Asia, and recently introduces mostly emerging young artists based in Japan. After opening in Tezukayama, Osaka in 1992, this gallery moved to Orange Street, a busy shopping area of about 800 meters full of cultural origins in Minamihorie, Osaka in 2010 as its current base.アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、アジアのコンテンポラリー・アートを取り扱い、近年は日本を拠点とする気鋭の若手作家を中心に紹介している「テヅカヤマギャラリー」は、1992年に大阪の帝塚山で開廊後、2010年に現在の拠点であり、大阪・南堀江の文化発信地として賑わう全長約800mの商店街「オレンジストリート」に移転した。
ギャラリーの展示スペースでは、取り扱い作家による個展、グループ展が企画され、絵画、版画、彫刻、陶芸、写真やインスタレーションなど、様々な作品の発表の場となっている。また、国内外のアートフェアにも積極的に参加。多彩な展示と関連イベントで、大阪のアートシーンをより活性化する為の活動が展開されている。
2016年に新設されたアポイント制の「ビューイング・ルーム」では、ゆったりとした空間に、展覧会以外のアーティストの作品の他、ギャラリーのコレクション作品が展示されているので、遠方から訪れる人は特に、事前予約のうえ企画展と併せて鑑賞を楽しんでほしい。

Text: Ayumi YakuraIn the exhibition space of the gallery, the solo and group exhibitions by gallery artists are presented in various works such as painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography and installation. Also, “Tezukayama Gallery” actively participates in art fairs both held in Japan and abroad. In diverse exhibitions and related events, activities to further activate the art scene of Osaka are being developed.
The “viewing room” which was opened in 2016 displays not only artworks that we can’t see in exhibitions, but also gallery collection works. So please enjoy and appreciate this space together with the exhibition after making a reservation in advance especially visitors coming from afar.
