Paco Savio is an Argentinian creative. He owns a studio called Remolino, but he consider himself a communicator. He is a passionated person, he can find magic in all the moments and all the places, so is not rare to seeパコ・サビオはアルゼンチンのクリエイティブパーソン。レモリノと呼ばれるスタジオを所有しており、彼自身は自らをコミュニケーターという。あらゆる瞬間と場所に魅力を見つけることができる情熱的な人であり、いつも世界中を旅し、世界中のベストスポットを知り尽くしている。その中でも特に詳しいのはブエノスアイレス。
自己紹介をお願いします。
はじめまして！パコ・サビオです。1962年の政治革命の最中、ある蒸し暑い日にブエノスアイレスで私は生まれました。当時は醜く恐ろしい軍が人々を支配し、人々には民主主義や尊厳、自由な暮らしを許さない状況でした。
私は形態と変化、詩と絵などのイメージとコンセプトを使うのが大好きです。思考の境界線を越えて混沌を巻き起こすことも好きで、人々が色々な方法で考えて情熱を持って行動する手助けをしたいと考えています。情熱とは、私が知る限り一番重要で、大切なエネルギーです。
レモリノというブエノスアイレスを拠点にしたクリエイティブスタジオを持っていて、主にコミュニケーターとして活動しています。
あなたの都市について教えて下さい。どう思っていますか？
タンゴの曲名の「わが懐かしのブエノスアイレス」のように自分の都市を愛しています。エネルギー、情熱、神秘性、創造性の混沌。新しい発見をもたらしてくれる聖堂。良い意味で苦しむための楽園。たとえブエノスアイレが最悪な状況でも、至る所で常に文化的なエネルギーに満ち溢れていて、昔と現代が特徴的な音色と方法で混ざり合っているところだと思います。
1,300万人の人が心と体を揺さぶりながら懸命に生活しています。簡単なことではないけれど、素晴らしいことです。
ブエノスアイレスでのデザインの仕事についてどのように感じていますか？
ここは様々な種類の血が駆け巡る土地です。時々正確な方向性がわからなくなることがありますが、それでも前に進みます。いつもなんとかやっています。
ここはアートや建築、デザインを考え、生み出す強力な基盤であり、その昔、そして現在も比較的に新しい土地を求めて移住した世界中の人たちが混じり合っていて、貴重な機会を与えてくれる場所です。私の愛する都市で起こる、とてもワイルドで不思議な化学反応がいつも私の仕事を助けてくれます。様々な融合がこのブエノスアイレスという南部の都市の大きなストリートでは起こるのです。ここには、ベルリンやパリ、そして少しのロンドンとニューヨークの派手さが融合した、新しいキャンバスに描く色濃いラテンスタイルと独特な個性があり、いろいろなことが起こるには完璧なフィールドなのです。どんなときでも呼吸のたびに、この都市で起こる様々な出来事が直接私の仕事へと繋がっていきます。

チャカリタ、レコレータ、パレルモ、サンテルモなどぜひ様々な場所を歩いて下さい。（それら全部にそれぞれの個性があります。）

Please introduce yourself and your activity.
Hello! My name is Paco Savio. I was born in Buenos Aires on a humid day in middle of a politic revolution in year 1962. In those days always was some ugly and horrible militars trying to take control and didn’t let democracy and people have dignity and a free life.
I love to play with images and concepts. With forms and transforms. Poetry and pictures. I like to cross the borders of thinking and provoke chaos. Just to help people think in a different way and react with passion. Passion is the main thinking and loving energy I know.
I have a creative studio based in buenos aires called Remolino. Mainly I´m a communicator.
Could you tell us about your city? What do you think about it?
I love my city, like tango says “Mi Buenos Aires Querido”. Chaotic tons of energy, passion, mysteries and creativity. The temple for new discoveries. The paradise for suffering in a positive way. Even in the worst conditions Buenos Aires is always full of cultural energy, in every corner. The old and the contemporary mixes in a very particular tone and way.
13 millions inhabitants shaking their bodies & souls, and trying to make a living (it´s not easy, but can be great).
How do you feel about working as a design in Buenos Aires?
Lots of blood running around. Sometimes not with a precise direction, but always pushing ahead. Always surviving.
Strong platform for thinking, acting and making art, architecture and design. Mixes of people from all over the world, relatively new land for immigrants, from the past and the future. Space for unusual opportunities. Very strange and wild cocktail happen in my lovely city helping my labor. Mixtures of all kind take place in the big streets of this south metropolis. A mix of Berlin, París, a little bit of London, and some New York pretentious, all with a strong latin style and unique character, drawing a new canvas.
The perfect sphere to make this happen in a particular way. The strong character of the diverse events that occur in this city transfer directly into my work, in every breathing, at any time. Beautiful and big trees inspire my thoughts. The perfect place for walking, looking, searching and discovery. Ideal for creative minds and for the unexpected. Watch out…
Please tell us about your favourite places in Buenos Aires.
Walking around Chacarita, Recoleta, Palermo, San Telmo, and the variety of diverse neighbourhoods (all of them have their own character).
– My favourite emergent art gallery: Slyzmud in Chacarita.
– To eat; La Panadería, Bernata, Il Mattarello (Martín Rodríguez 517, La Boca), Sucre from great Fernando Trocca, El Pobre Luis for the best barbecue (asado) you can ever dream about. A Nous Amours (Gorriti 4488, Palermo Soho), Da-da. Try to try them all.
