ブエノスアイレスでの外食も幅が広がってきた。その良い例が「ラ・ファブリカ・デル・タコ(タコス・ファクトリー)」。パッと見た目は、店名のネオンサインとテイクアウト用のフードカウンターが目を引くThe range of gastronomic options is constantly updated in Buenos Aires. A clear example of this is ‘La Fábrica del Taco’ (‘Taco factory’). of the store in striking colours and a fast food counter. But in fact, there is much more than meets the eye. The options in this entrepreneurship created by Federico Lobeira, a Mexican who settled in Buenos Aires 6 years ago, range from cheap fast food to extremely expensive exotic drinks.

‘I meant to create a place where all social classes could become mixed. I got my inspiration from my friends, some of them have a lot of money while others have very little. At La Fábrica del Taco everyone can arrange their own menu according to their economic possibilities,’ Federico says.

And it is true. For instance, you can try an exquisite ‘Taco Pastor’ (Shepherd Taco) — marinated pork on a corn and wheat flour tortilla with cheese and a pineapple slice — or guacamole with nachos for less than $8 (Argentinean currency).
Not only is the food a highlight in this restaurant, but its variety of sectors is also an asset: you can eat at the counter, at the tables on the sidewalk of Gorriti Street, inside the store — which has been decorated in typical Mexican style based on regional decorative elements— or at the ‘bar’.

The bar is located in the back garden of the restaurant; it is the most elegant area, and it is where the Margaritas have the central role they deserve: made of avocado, spicy, with coriander, with mint, made of strawberry, these are just a few varieties of the drink that the barman can blend. Another Mexican specialty that is a must here is Michelada, frosty beer with salt served with ice, lime juice and home sauce.

The owner’s motto is that food and drinks should be made by experts; therefore, he has ‘brought’ the master chefs and the barman from Mexico and Brazil respectively. They are the ones who ensure our palates travel back to their homeland. La Fábrica del Taco has become a must for any tourist or local to visit when looking for a place to have a good meal and a great time.
