Since 1946, Haus am Waldsee is considered to be one of the foremost exhibition spaces for international contemporary art in Germany.1946年以降、ハウス・アム・ヴァルトゼーはドイツの国際的な現代美術を展示するスペースのひとつとして有名な場所だ。1989年以降の歴史の状況変化を考えると、より広い国際的なアートシーンとのつながりを深めている。90年代の中頃からドイツは、世界中で創造的な人々を引きつけると同様に、最も刺激的なアートセンターのひとつとなり、アーティスト達はベルリンへ引っ越してくるようになった。それはビジュアルアーティスト、画家、彫刻家、メディアスペシャリストだけでなく、ファッションと家具デザイナー、音楽家、作家等を含む。ベルリンで暮らし制作する人々にハウス・アム・ヴァルトゼーは焦点を当てている。
