Asplund is an interior store located in central part of Stockholm. It was founded in 1989 as a gallery showing furniture by Swedish brothers Michael and Thomas Asplundアスプルンドはストックホルム中心部にあるインテリアショップ。このショップはスウェーデン人のマイケル・アスプルンド、トーマス・アスプランド兄弟によって1989年に家具を展示するギャラリーとして設立された。
彼らはシンプルで高品質なスェーデンの家具に対する需要の大きさに注目し、彼らの友人であるヨナス・ボーリンとトーマス・サンデルと共に彼ら自身の新たな家具のラインをスタートさせた。
彼らのコンセプトは耐久性があり、どんなスタイルにも合う製品を作ることだ。トーマス・エリクソン、CKR、ジャスパー・モリソン、マーク・ニューロン、ピエロ・リッソーニといった多くのデザイナーがこの製作のためにデザインを提供している。また、厳選したインテリア業界で活躍している様々なブランド、デザイナーの製品も扱っている。

When they realized that there was a large demand for simple and high-quality Swedish furniture, they started their own furniture line with their friends Jonas Bohlin and Thomas Sandell.
Their concept is creating products which have durability and are suitable for any styles. Many designers including Thomas Ericksson, CKR, Jasper Morrison, Marc Newson, Piero Lissoni provided their design for this project. They also handpick products of many brands and designers being active in the interior industry.
