Swedish cuisine is made by 3 main elements: meat or fish, potatoes and creamy sauces. Meet balls (Köttbullar) are the queens of Sweden. They are served with potato mouse and lingon-berry sauce. But if köttbullar are the queens, salmon is the king. Smoked, cured in salt and dill, grilled, etc. Any form will satisfy more demanding palates. Due its geography location, Stockholm offers great products from the sea and also from the country side. But once again, Swedes like to pick up elements from other cultures, Japanese influence in raw fish and Mediterranean for salads and olive oil are probably the most notabilities.
