The gallery was founded in London and moved to Cambridge Heath Road in 2011. A permanent space was later established in Paris located in the historical Hôtel de Lagrange built in 1731. In October 2018, Campoli Presti Paris has inaugurated an additional space in the same building. The artists often present concurrent exhibitions in London and Paris, building a narrative across the two locations of the gallery.カンポリ・プレスティはロンドンのサットン・レーンにてジル・プレスティとマヌエラ・カンポーリにより、10年以上も前に設立されたギャラリーだ。この二人のギャラリストは、2007年3月にパリにもパーマネント・スペースをオープンした。
その後、ロンドンのカンポリ・プレスティ・ギャラリーは2011年に、さらに広い場所を求めてケンブリッジ・ヒースロードへ移転、パリのギャラリーも今は、マレ地区の芸術的地区のひとつであり、ポンピドゥーセンターの真裏の小さな小道であるブラーク通りに構えている。
当初の設立目的は、アメリカを拠点に活動する次世代のアーティストをヨーロッパに紹介すると同時に、アーティスト同士、また欧州のアーティストとの交流を図ることを推進するためであった。
過去に、リズ・デッサン、ロー・アスリッジ、ユッタ・コーサー、ダニエル・レフコート、ヴァレンティナ・リールナール、ジェイソン・ローブス、スコット・ライアル、ニック・マウス、チャールズ・メイトン、ジョン・ミラー、オリビエ・モセット、ショーン・ポール、パベル・ペッパーステイン、アイリーン・クインラン、ブレイク・レイン、クレメント・ロッヂシールスキー、クリストフ・ルケブリ、ノラ・シュルツ、エイミー・シルマン、リーナ・スポーリングス、ジョアン・ターサム＆トム・オサリバン、チェイニー・トンプソンらを直接サポートしてきた。
彼ら独自の方法で、自らの表現手段における歴史性や素材の状態を模索しながら、全てのアーティストがアート、表現の流行、著作権、映像のデジタル経済などあらゆる分野の現在と未来について影響を与え続けている。マーティン・バレ（2005年）やマルセル・ブロータス（2008年、2012年）といった主要作家の常設展は、ギャラリーの配慮により、若い世代のためのクリティカルな要素を含んだ内容となっている。
このように、カンポリ・プレスティは、若手アメリカ人アーティスト全が欧州で認知度が高まるよう努め、欧州の若手作家達との有意義な交流を奨励することで、強力なアイデンティティーの形成に成功してきた。また国際アートフェアにも定期的に参加しており、今後も目が離せないような、示唆に富んだ素晴らしいプログラムを提供し続けてくれるに違いない。

Campoli Presti first introduced a generation of artists previously unknown in Europe, cultivating their early exposure and establishing critical and institutional representation. The gallery activates a concurrent dialogue around the conventions of pictorial, sculptural, and photographic representation. While exploring the historical and material condition of their medium, the artists share an ongoing critical engagement with modes of display, notions of authorship, the economy of the digital and the body as ground of experience.
