Bar Ugle produced by “NEST,” opened in Yakuin area in April 2009. They sell goods, lights, and design furniture from domestic and overseas labels, but mainly Scandinavian vintage furniture北欧ヴィンテージ家具を中心に、国内外問わずデザイン性のある家具・照明・雑貨を販売している「NEST（ネスト）」のプロデュースによるバー「ugle（ウーグル）」が、2009年4月、薬院にオープンした。
木とモノトーンで統一された店内に、天井を走る赤いデザインの造作がアクセントになった、どこか和を感じさせる設計は、建築家・柿沼守利氏が手がけ、インテリアは本質にこだわるネストが手がけているだけあり、洗練された上質な空間になっている。
バーカウンターとテーブル席のある１階と、ラウンジスペースの２階（個室としての利用可）があり、エッグ・チェアをはじめとする様々なタイプの家具や、北欧ヴィンテージグラスなど、こだわりのアイテムが空間演出に華を添えている。
しかし主役は人である。重厚な音質のオーディオから流れる音楽とグラスの音、心地よい会話とお酒、ゆっくりと流れる時間を、それぞれに楽しむ。本質のデザインが分かるなら、あなたも大人の社交場に足を踏み入れてみてはどうだろうか。

lack and white interior design with natural wood and red finishing carpentry work running along the ceiling by architect Moritoshi Kakinuma gives good accent and japanese sophisticated atmosphere.
There is a bar counter and tables on the first floor and a lounge space (used for private rooms) on the second floor. Various types of furniture featuring egg chairs and scandinavian glasses provide extra atmospheric accent.
However the main attraction is the people. We enjoy slowly flowing time, good conversation and drinks, music from high quality audio and the sound of glasses. We suggest you step into this adult social ace.
