To get to know about the art scene in Fukuoka, one of our recommends is Artlier located in Hakata Riverain. The Artlier is a place to deliver various kinds of art information in Fukuoka and beyond areas of Kyushu. In Fukuoka there are many art museums and galleries where exhibit local artists' works. If you want to see international contemporary art, there is Mitsubishi-Jisho Artium located in IMS which gives exhibitions throughout the year.
