スカンジナビアのデザインや映画、旅に魅了された、コティ・ラグアとイウジーナ・ロロンコソによって2007年3月に設立された「ピックニック」。彼女達のアイディアはInspired on trips, films, Scandinavian design and Eastern prints Coty Larguía and Eugenia Troncoso created Pic Nic in March 2007、どこにもないパターンデザインを制作し販売するというもの。
そのアイディアは、まず壁紙にはじまり、服やブックカバー、バッグ、iPhoneケースなどのグッズに展開されている。
もし自分の部屋に飽きてきたなら、引っ越しより先に、壁紙などで部屋の模様替えをしてみたら、とピックニックは提案している。

Text: Celeste Najt. These young women’s original idea was to create a line of decorative objects with one and only obsession: PRINT PATTERNS.
Pic Nic rests on the idea of deconstruction and applies it to different objects for the house and clothing items. “We wanted to discard the idea that people must travel to find design and prints in fabrics, wallpaper and cushions. Our goal was to fight against the minimalism of the 90s”. Coty says.
If the idea is to radically change a space with elements that maintain a balance with one another, Pic Nic simplifies the task: wallpapers are a good start to plan the rooms, in striking colours and psychedelic shapes (62USD), with matching carpets (70USD). and cushions (45USD). There are also fabrics out of which curtains and tablecloths can be made, following the motif of the remaining decorative elements.
But not everything at Pic Nic is for the house – there are also products to be used in daily life, such as notebook covers, bags, i-phone cover cases, etc. Pic Nic offers advice to anyone who would like to refurbish a room at work or at home. When innovating, visiting Pic Nic is ideal.
