「NDSM-WERF」は、最近注目されつつある、アムステルダム・ノード地区にできた巨大なアートビレッジ。84,000m2というフットボール場がThe NDSM-werf is a center for subculture, a former shipyard on the river IJ in Amsterdam-Noord. The site has an area of 84,000m210個以上も入るような巨大な敷地を持ち、中には生活のためのスペース、スタジオ、ワークスペースがある。
NDSM-WERFは、このスペースを若手から有名なアーチスト達までに提供し、アーチスト達は互いを刺激し合いながらここで思い思いに制作を行っている。

The NDSM-werf provides a shelter of several local arts and craftsmanship and is a safe haven for individual artists and craftsmen who are up-and-coming and well-known, and also for independent organizations that work together and inspire each other for their creation.
