With a shop space and a gallery space, Commune moved and renewal opened in 2011, with an aim to offer a place where visitors can explore their world with ‘kawaii’ products and zinesZINEと雑貨の販売スペースとギャラリースペースからなる「コミューン」が2011年に下北沢から、世田谷の新代田に移転オープンした。女の子が抱く“カワイイ”という感情を入り口に、訪れた人がそこで出会えるものからそれぞれの世界を広げるきっかけになってくれたらと2009年にオープン。海外から買い付けたZINE、アートブックや、他ではなかなか手に入らないレコードなど、ただ“カワイイ”だけじゃない、ちょっとひと癖あるようなものが小さな雑貨スペースに並ぶ。
前店舗より広く、カフェスペースの席数はテーブル2卓を含む12席となったため「打ち合わせで利用する人も増えた」と、曽我部恵一さんから引き継いだ川邉美幸は話す。メニューも、コーヒーのほかにミルクティーのチーズケーキ、カクテル類などもある。
新代田に移転以降、訪れる人達の年齢層も幅広くなったというコミューンへ、足を運んでみてはどうだろう。
