フランス・ハルス・ミュージアムは、アムステルダムから電車で15分ほどの、ノールトホラント州のハーレムという15万人の住民が暮らす、のどかな町の中心にある。ミュージアムの名前は17世紀の画家、フランス・ハルスの名前からつけられた。The Frans Hals Museum is located in the center of Haarlem, a cosy city with 150 000 inhabitants, capital of Noord Holland and only a 15 minute trainride away from Amsterdam. It is named after the 17th century painter Frans Hals.

2001年6月にオープンした「札幌ドーム（愛称HIROBA）」。４万人以上を収容できる北海道初の屋内ドームだ。敷地面積約31ヘクタールの広大な土地は、サッカーのみならず、野球、コンサート、展示会など多目的に利用されている。Sapporo Dome, which is nicknamed “HIROBA”, opened on June 2001. In this all-weather supersized dome, many exciting events are held in front of over 40,000 spectators.

「フォンタネッレ」という名前には、おとぎ話「青ひげ」の中に登場するボビーの頭と、マジシャンの弱点スポットなどいくつかの意味がありますが、“Fontanelle” has several meanings including the soft spot on a boby’s head and a magican in the fairy tale “Bluebeard” but was ultimately chosen for its association with the hard-rocking 1992 album release by he band Babes in Toyland.
