モントリオールを拠点に活動していたクリエイティブ・エージェンシー「シド・リー」が、2008年11月にアムステルダムに移転。そして新しいアトリエと「シド・リー・コレクティブ バー／ストアMontreal-based creative agency Sid Lee (with client like adidas Originals, Cirque du Soleil and Red Bull) has landed in Amsterdam in November 2008 to open a new atelier and the first-ever (SLC) 」という名のショップとバーをオープンした。
ショップでは、カナダ人デザイナーのレナラ・モラレスとのコラボレーション・コレクションをはじめ、デザイングッズや音楽などを制作するSLCレーベルのラインナップを販売している。
将来的にはオランダやヨーロッパのデザイナーとのコラボレーションも予定されている。いくつかの商品はSLCオンラインストアでも購入可能。
ショップに加え、バーも併設されている。昼間はランチやコーヒーを楽しめ、夜にはアルコールを楽しめる。インテリアで目を惹くのは、ブラックボードと呼ばれる壁面。チョークによるアーチストのドローイング作品が月替わりで楽しめる。
このショップのあるデ・パイブ地区は、異なる文化のメルティングポットで、ショップやバー、飲食店が数多くある。バーの入り口は有名なアルバート・クイップ・マーケットに隣接している。

Sid Lee Collective (SLC): gallery store and bar.
The store features an exclusive collection of mostly Canadian designers, like Renata Morales, who signed the ‘Morales Loves Sid Lee’ collection. Besides work with the SLC label, the creative spin-off also brings independently designed products and music of various artists. In future SLC will present the results of collaborations with Dutch and other European designers. For now it’s already a perfect place to meet Amsterdam’s finest and their pieces of art during exhibitions and other intimate events. You can also buy some of their items at the SLC online shop.
The Sid Lee Collective store and bar are housed in the same space and connected by a wooden floor, but have their own entrance and opening hours. This hotspot is located at neighbourhood ‘De Pijp’, a melting pot of different cultures and places to eat, shop, drink. The doors to the bar are at the famous Albert Cuyp Market.
During the afternoon the SLC bar offers lunch and coffee. In the evening you just hang out to have a drink. No matter if it’s day or evening, you can’t miss the interior’s eye-catcher: the walls and ceiling made out of chalk boards. Every month your neck will get hurt by new ‘Black Boards’: pastel drawings made by creatives and other artists.
