The name Artrepco is composed of the terms art, representing and consulting. Compounding these three concepts thus defines the first focal point アートレプコという名前は、アート（芸術）とレプレゼント（象徴）とコンサルティング（協議）の３つの言葉の頭文字を取っている。これらの３つのコンセプトに基づき、ギャラリー作品の核となるポイントが形成された。加えて、ギャラリーとそれを代表するアーティストの間には、パートナーとしての関係がある。アーティストが、大掛かりで野心的だが、商業的でない企画や活動を行なう場合でも、必ずギャラリー側は最良のサポートをするのだ。
さらに、ギャラリーとしての仕事の目標は、ギャラリーを代表するアーティストと共に歩み、サポートし、彼らを高めてゆくことだと考えている。若いアートを批判したりすることもそのためなのである。
2001年12月にオープンスペースとしてアートレプコは設立したが、その当初から現代アートに重きを置いていた。毎年ギャラリーを代表するアーティストと展示会をオーガナイズし、それはすでに６回にも及ぶ。ギャラリーの企画は特に、新鋭のアート中心である。その内容は、ビデオやインスタレーションや絵画から彫刻や写真まで、あらゆる種類の芸術的表現方法に及んでいる。

Furthermore, they see the goal of their work as a gallery as being able to accompany, support and promote the artists represented by them. A discursive and critical treatment of young art is their highest precept.
Founded in December 2001 as an open space, Artrepco Gallery concentrated on contemporary art from the beginning. Up to six exhibitions with the represented artists are organized every year. The gallery’s programm aims especially at young, emerging art. It spans the whole spectrum of artistic forms of expression from video, installation and painting to sculpture, drawing and photography.
