過去30年に渡り、世界中のファッション、カルチャー、ムーヴメントを日本に紹介してきたビームスが、2008年「TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS」と名付けられたプロジェクトを始動。Introducing the world’s fashion, culture, movement to Japan over the 30 years, BEAMS will launch a new project, TOKYO CULTUART in 2008. Opening on the 4th floor in Harajuku store, the flagship shop will feature a wide variety of artworks, design products as well as collectors items like figures and toys, representing chaotic Tokyo.
On April 28th 2016, “BEAMS JAPAN” has been opened for suggesting various Japanese contents which BEAMS curates, and TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS produces the 4th floor with selection from pop culture to fine arts. Featured rare products by Japanese artists, zine and little press of popular writers in the space designed by gelchop.
It’s the very places to feel “cult”, “culture” and “art”.

http://www.beams.co.jp/tokyocultuart/今や世界から注目される都市「東京」から生み出されるアート、デザイン、カルチャーを世界に発信していくこの試みは、それらを生活に取り入れる喜びを提案する場でもある。原宿にオープンしたフラッグシップショップは、クリエイティブオフィスのような店内にアート作品やデザインプロダクツはもちろん、コレクター心をくすぐるフィギュアやソフビなどの限定トイも展開。さまざまなジャンルを横断することで、混沌とした東京らしさを表現している。
また2016年4月28日にオープンした、日本の様々なコンテンツをキュレーションして提案する「ビームス ジャパン」４階は、トーキョー カルチャートbyビームスがセレクトするポップカルチャーからファインアートまでが揃うフロアとなっている。3D造形グループのゲルチョップが内装を手掛けた店内には、日本人アーティストによる希少性の高いプロダクツや、人気作家によるジンやリトルプレスも並び、日本独特の車種である軽トラックも出現。
プロジェクト名に込められた「CULT（熱狂）」「CULTURE（文化）」「ART（芸術）」を体感して欲しい。
