Every city has its hectic area where lots of citizens converge with tourists, the average shopping zone, hoboes and the itinerant ones. Perhaps due to this messy environment a less beautiful sideどこの都市にだって、一般的なショッピングエリアがあり、各地を廻る商人たちがいるような、市民と観光客がたくさん集まる常ににぎやかなエリアがあるだろう。もしかしたら、こうしたたくさんのものの混在が、都市の美しい一面を隠しがちなのかもしれない

A word play in Swedish between the words konst “art” and konstig “weird” fetch first idea on what this book store is about. A independent art book seller with a wide variety of「konst」は「アート」を、「konstig」は「奇妙」を意味しているスウェーデン語の言葉からショップの名前「Konst-IG」（コンスティグ）が付けられた。コンスティグはアートブックショップ

1937年、ナショナル・パブリックアート・カウンシル（NPAC）がスウェーデンで設立された。元々のアイディアは、第一次世界大戦の直後に不景気で経済的に苦しんでいるアーティスト達をサポートするというもの。In 1937 The National Public Art Council (NPAC) was established in Sweden. Originally the idea was born in the aftermath of the First World War, with the intention to support artists who were particularly struck economically by the recession.
