Matt only sells one thing. So it has to be good. It comes in two sizes. 2.5 inches or 8.5 inches. As you would guess from the name of the shop, Matt sells chocolate. Matt’s own dark chocolate fudge cake. And of course名前の通りのチョコレート専門店。マット・チョコレート・ショップで購入できるのは、自慢の一品だけ。オーナーであるマットお手製のチョコレートファッジケーキ。サイズは2.5インチと8.5インチから選ぶ事ができる。
ブラウニーとファッジ、食感が絶妙にマッチした極上のケーキは、ランチ後の自分へのご褒美に最高だ。お昼頃になると飛ぶ様に売れてしまう。近所の会社員やクリエイター達の争奪戦だ。古い町並みで知られるアモイ・テレクアイヤー地区に位置し、近くまで来れば見逃す事はない。ウッドで造られた温かみのある店構えとインテリアがショップ全体のムードを彩り、センスの良いハイエンドな家具もマットのチョコレートケーキの美味しさと良くマッチしている。
日が差す頃になったら、少し立ち止まって見ていて欲しい。行き交うお客さんの数が、どれくらい時間が過ぎたかのサイン。気付かないうちに2.5インチのケーキは完売だ。もし間に合わなければ、8.5インチを持ち帰るのを忘れずに。皆で幸せをシェアしよう。

Part brownie, part fudge. Textures alternate and transit as one makes its way through the cake. A perfect treat after lunch, which would explain why Matt’s cakes are flying off the shelves as office workers and creatives in the area snap them up.
Located in a shophouse in the historical Amoy / Telok Ayer area, you would not miss this store as you walk along the 5 Footway. Bringing in the warmth of the timber from the shop’s front into the interior, Matt’s warm and clean contemporary interior accentuates the richness of his chocolate fudge cake.
Take a pause as sunlight pours through the window, and pedestrian silhouettes signal the passing of time. Before you know it, all 2.5 inches of goodness is gone. But then good things are always meant to be shared. Remember to grab an 8.5 inch on the way out.
