Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art, located at the foot of verdant Nihondaira, was opened in April of 1986 in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary開かれた美術館を目指し、1986年に開館した「静岡県立美術館」。1994年には、新館のロダン館がオープン。「地獄の門」を中心とするロダン以前・以後の彫刻32点を、天井から自然光が射し込む明るい大空間の中で鑑賞ができる。
