自 1998 年 成立后，比翼一直在尝试以不同的方式支持艺术、鼓励艺术、发展艺术，努力创造艺术的良好大环境。无论是与艺术家的合作还是与各种艺术机构、团体合作，比翼 一直致力于挖掘边缘的、前卫的艺术想法和理念，提供一个舞台，在这里不同的想法1998年上海で始まってから、ビズアート・アート・センターはあらゆる形式のアートを歓迎し奨励してサポートする雰囲気作りを追求し、多種多様なコラボレーションを通して、異なった考えや個人が融合しFrom its inceptions in Shanghai in 1998, BizArt has strived to create an atmosphere that welcomes, encourages and supports art in all forms、インタラクトし、刺激するようなコミュニティーの育成と同様に、実験的なコンセプトやアイデアに常に全力を尽くしている。
ビズアートは、独立経営の非営利アートセンターであり、上海および国外で現代アートを助長するという最終的な目標とともに芸術的で商業的な研究を行っている。「ビズアート」という名前は、相反する役割であるビジネスとアートを共有していることと私たちの存在のもつ「不思議な(bizarre)」特質に由来している。

BizArt is a self-supported and not-for-profit art center that combines artistic and commercial pursuits with the ultimate goal of advancing contemporary art in Shanghai and beyond. The name “BizArt” refers to their straddling the duel roles of business and art, and the “bizarre” nature of their existence.

比翼艺术中心是一个自主经营的非营利性艺术中心，包含着艺术和商业两个方面在内。中心的宗旨旨在促进上海以及其他地区当代艺术的发展。就如比翼的英文名字“bizart”一样，比翼的结构包含了商业和艺术两个方面，同时这个名字也真实地体现了我们的生存状态。
由于我们所有的艺术活动都是非营利的，同时也受到中国国内有关艺术基金的特殊环境的影响，致使比翼必须有自己活跃的商业部分的运作。由于在中国没有一个公共的基金会给像我们这样的独立艺术组织一些支持，所以我们在商业方面的利润都支持我们去做各种艺术活动，并且保证了我们在本土以及国际艺术世界中的方向.
