「シフト・コラボレーティブ・スタジオ」は、パイオニアスクエア地区にある新しく改修されたタシロ・カプラン芸術総合ビルに2004年12月にオープンしたアーティスト達が生活と制作活動を共に行うアートスタジオ。Shift is a collaborative artist’s studio that opened in December 2004 in the newly renovated Tashiro-Kaplan arts complex, アメリカ北西部の若手アーティストをサポートをすることを目的にアーティスト運営のスペースとして設立。ドローイング、絵画、写真、ミクストメディアコラージュ、デジタルプリント、彫刻を含むメディアの領域で働く12人のメンバーから成り立つ。

Shift was established, out of necessity, as an artist-run space, with the primary goal of supporting emergent practicing Northwest area artists.
Shift is made up of twelve members who work in a range of media including drawing, painting, photography, mixed media collage, digital prints, and sculpture. Shift members focus on combining media in experimental and conceptual formats.
The members of Shift are dedicated to creating challenging and innovative work.
Shift exists as a venue for artists to exhibit, develop, and advance their work, and is committed to exhibiting and celebrating art of diverse media and rigorous content.
