扇谷記念スタジオ･シアターZOOTHEATER ZOO
北海道演劇財団が運営、企画運営を行う演劇施設「扇谷記念スタジオ･シアターZOO」。北海道演劇財団は、北海道における演劇をはじめとする芸術文化から生活文化にまたがる幅広い分野THEATER ZOO is run by Hokkaido Performing Arts Foundation that aims to straighten a cultural environment in the region by doing the business concerning the maintenance of the promotion of expressive activity in a wide range of fields across the life culture and the creative environment from the art culture including the play in Hokkaido.
The THEATER ZOO performance is mainly performed by both franchise and sub-franchise theatrical companies. The meaning of franchise here is to make this theater a stronghold. They make performance here, and visit across the country. Their franchise theatrical company is TPS (Theater Project Sapporo) which has close relation to Hokkaido Performing Arts Foundation. They perform several times during a year in this theater. Sub-franchise theatrical companies make 3 years contract, having SK group Ham project for limited 3 years from 2005 to 2007.

Translation: Junko Isogawaの表現活動の振興と創造環境の整備に関する事業を行うとともに、それらに関する道民の自発的活動を促進することによって地域の文化的環境を整え、もって北国の風土に根ざした豊かな地域社会の実現に資することを目的としている。
シアターZOOの企画公演は、フランチャイズ劇団、サブフランチャイズ劇団を中心に行っている。フランチャイズとは、この劇場を本拠地にすること。ここで芝居を創り、ここから全国に出て行くので、旬な（ある時には発展途上な？）公演が楽しめる。フランチャイズ劇団は、北海道演劇財団付属劇団の TPS（シアタープロジェクトさっぽろ）。本劇場で年間数回の公演を行っている。サブフランチャイズ劇団は、３年ごとの契約となる。
