大倉山ジャンプ競技場Okurayama Jump Stadium

1972（昭和47）年に開催された冬季オリンピック札幌大会でジャンプ競技場になったことで知られる大倉山ジャンプ競技場。In 1972 Sapporo was a host to the Winter Olympics and Mt. Okura became known as the home of the Jump Stadium.現在は国際的な大会が数多く開催されている他、リフトを使って頂上へのぼると展望ラウンジがあり、標高307mの地から札幌の市街地や石狩平野、石狩湾が一望できる。さらに、ジャンプ台のスタートラインを目の前に見ることができるのも魅力のひとつ。

Text: Mariko Takei The new modern facilities provide a venue for both summer and night jumping events, including international competitions. If you take the lift to the top of the jump you will find an observation lounge. From this 307-meter high vantage point you can see all of Sapporo, the Ishikari Plain and Ishikari Bay. By standing at the top and looking down the steep slope to the take off point, you can get a sense of what jumpers must experience.
