Kapo（金沢アートポート）は、金沢21世紀美術館が行なったプロジェクト型の展覧会「金沢アートプラットホーム2008」をきっかけに生まれたオルタナティブ・アートスペースThe Kapo (Kanazawa Art Port) is an art alternative space derived from Kanazawa Art Platform 2008, an exhibition project organized by 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa。金沢に住むアーティストやデザイナーを中心とした運営メンバーは、兼六園の近くにある元印刷工場のビルを自らの手で改装し、ギャラリースペース、共同スタジオ、カフェの運営を行なっていた。
2014年、ビルの老朽化に伴い移転。元銀行のビルを地元のクリエイターによる共同スタジオ、コワーキングスペースとして活用している。また、アーティスト・イン・レジデンス事業「CAAK & Kapo Creator in Residence」を行ない、金沢のアーティストと海外のアーティストとの交流から新しいアートコミュニティを生み出すことを目指している。

Managed by Kapo members including Kanazawa based artists and designers, the space was renovated by themselves on the 1st and 2nd floors of the building which was formally used as a printing plant located near Kenrokuen. Since then, they have provided a co-studio and café, as well as a space for exhibiting contemporary art.
In 2014, Kapo relocated due to the ageing of the building. The new location, a former bank is now managed by Kapo members for co-studio and co-working space for local creators. Furthermore, Kapo have started to provide an Artist-in-Residence program; “CAAK & Kapo Creator in Residence” with the aim to make a new art community through exchanges with artists from Kanazawa and from abroad.
