Salakauppa is a tiny glass cube shop and café. The name Salakauppa can be translated into Secret Shop, but the place can be found in the very public heart of the cityサラカウッパは小さなガラスキューブの様な外観のショップ＆カフェだ。店名であるサラカウッパとは「秘密のお店」という意味だが、ショップ自体は街のど真ん中、ヘルシンキ中央駅とキアズマ美術館との間にある。
サラカウッパはアーム・ソンとユーハン・オリンによるデザインデュオ「カンパニー」にとって念願の夢だったショップであり、カンパニーの独創的な商品達が厳選されて並べられている。
「トップ・シークレット・オブ・フィンランド」は2007年に始まった彼らのコレクションだ。これはフィンランド文化に影響を受けたもので、スタイリッシュかつ遊び心にあふれたデザインになっている。このコレクションの制作のため、カンパニーは伝統的な手工芸の工場との出会いを求めてフィンランド国内を巡り、彼らの洗練されたデザインと、工芸品のもつ独特さを組み合わせた。もう一つ“メイド・イン・コリア”も、主に靴や鞄やアクセサリーに焦点をあてた、これまた遊び心にあふれたコレクションになっている。
カンパニーの作品はいくつかの美術館やビジネスフェアで展示されている。彼らのデザインはそのアート性・形状の美しさ・機能性が非常にうまく融合されていると言え、また、ソンとオリンは「ザ・ステート・プライズ・オブ・デザイン2010」も受賞している。

Salakauppa is a dream-come-through shop for the design team Com-pa-ny; Aamu Song and Johan Olin. The shop presents a carefully designed selection of Com-pa-ny’s creative design objects.
Their collection “Top Secrets of Finland” started on 2007. It’s inspired of Finnish culture and executed at the same time stylishly, but with playful taste. In order to create the collection, Com-pa-ny has toured around Finland to find traditional little craft factories and combined their stylish design with each manufactures speciality. The other collection “Made in Korea” is another playful collection mainly focusing on shoes, bags and accessories.
Com-pa-ny has exhibited their works in several art and design museums and commercial fairs. Their design is on that perfect point where art, form and function meet. Song and Olin have also been awarded with The State Prize of Design 2010.
