The gTIE Boutique is the brainchild of a groundbreaking designer who has set Finland and the world on fire in recent years with her astonishing neckwear. Her name is Jenni Ahtiainen and when she isn’t in Finlandジェニー・アハティアイネンのもとgTIEブティックはオープンした。彼女は、周囲が驚くようなネックウエアのデザインで近年、フィンランドのみならず世界中で話題の革新的なデザイナーだ。彼女がフィンランドに居ないときは、たいていゴールデングローブやオスカーなど世界中の名誉あるイベントで見かけることができる。
フィンランドでは、彼女のアイテムを身に付けている地元のセレブリティやバンドも多い。特に音楽からの多大な影響を受けている彼女の作品は、ミュージシャンたちが最新アイテムを好んで身につけている姿を時折見かける。
gTIEブティックのポリシーはネックウエアの概念を覆すことだ。彼女のデザインはグラフィックのディテール、本物であること、そして形や素材の印象的なラインナップでまとまっているが、はっきりと一線を越えることはない。ブランドのファンはジェニーの既製品、また希望の形に仕上げてもらった注文通りのウエアを選ぶことができる。オンラインショップでは、ネックウエアに限らず従来の先入観にとらわれない挑戦や、これまでのノーマルなファッションの限界を押し広げるようなアクセサリーデザインも見ることができる。
店自体は現在予約のみでオープンしているが、オンラインショップはいつでも利用でき、ここでは、ゲイカップルのためのデザインを含むウエディングコレクションなどジェニーの仕事についての最新情報をキャッチすることができる。現在フィンランドでは、同性愛という関係は認められているが、結婚したり、夫婦と同じ法的な権利を持ったりすることはできない。この問題に対し、ジェニーがウエディングコレクションの典型的なイメージを変えるため、１組のゲイカップルの写真もショップに掲載している。
ヘルシンキで最も刺激的なファッションデザイナーの１人として、ジェニー・アハティアイネンと gTIEブティックに注目が集まる今、彼女のデザインを身に付けることが個人的なスタイルとテイストを表現している証しとなるのだ。

Translation: Momoko M you will find her around the world at prestigious events such as the Golden Globes and the Oscars. In Finland you will find local celebrities and bands wearing her designs, in particular as her work is inspired so much by music you often find musicians in turn sporting her latest creations.
The ideas behind gTIE Boutique is to turn upside down the concept of neckwear; her designs incorporate graphic details and real attitude and an impressive range of shapes and materials, clearly nothing is out of bounds. Avid fans can choose between Jenni’s readymade collection, Frenzy, or commission their own piece which is based on your own wishes. In her shop, and online shop, it is possible to see that she isn’t just limited to neckwear; her work also includes accessories which again challenge traditional preconceptions and redraw the boundaries for normal fashion.
The shop itself is currently only open by appointment. However, the online shop is readily available. It is also here you can catch up on news of Jenni’s work, such as a recent wedding collection that included designs for gay couples. Currently, in Finland, gay people can register their relationship, but can’t get married or have the same legal rights as a married couple. In response Jenni challenged the stereotypical image of a wedding collection and included one photo of a gay couple.
As one of the most exciting fashion designers in Helsinki, Jenni Ahtianinen and the gTIE Boutique, are definitely worth keeping an eye on and owning one of her designs is a true mark of individual style and taste.
