町外れの小さな村、ノイエンキルヒェンの芸術協会「スプリングホノフ」では、ランドスケープアートを楽しむことができるThe Springhornhof Foundation, based in Neuenkirchen in the Lüneburg Heath, is responsible for the organisation and management of one of Europe‘s leading outdoor art projects.。
協会が設立され、芸術家が、ノイエンキルヒェン近郊で、いくつかの芸術作品を制作することを依頼されたのは、70年代。今そこには、約30の作品が存在し、静かで、幸福そうな人達や、動物や植物に囲まれながら、楽に２日間は、そこで時をゆったりと過ごすことができるだろう。
この十字の木製作品は、ノイエンキルヒェンの近隣の村の中心に置かれている。村の住民は、作品には、いつも注意を払っている。作品は彼らの生活の一部であり、作品が壊れないよう見守っているのだ。

The Springhornhof Foundation thus plays a key role in ensuring that impulses for the development of contemporary culture can emerge in places other than the major cities.
Gallery owner Ruth Falazik founded the Springhornhof as a centre for the production and dissemination of contemporary art. Following her death in 1997, a way had to be found to guarantee the continuation of her life‘s work, through which the Springhornhof had already achieved national recognition. It was thanks to the initiative not only of the Falazik family but also of numerous supporters and friends, along with the crucial financial support of the federal state of Lower Saxony and the Kreissparkassen savings banks in the Soltau-Fallingbostel district that the Springhornhof Foundation was set up in 1999.
