Opened in march 2003, the heliumcowboy artspace has established a very fresh and unique form of a modern gallery, serving as a platform for contemporary art. 2003年にオープンしたヘリウムカーボーイ・アートスペースは、現代アートのプラットホームであり、フレッシュでユニークなモダンギャラリーだ。伝統的ギャラリーよりも革命的なサイクルで突き進んでいる現代アートにより近い存在として、自らの領域を切り開いていける、少しアンダーグラウンドで、アートの将来を担うようなアーティストによる最高の現代のアート作品を展示している。
アート作品を単に展示するだけではなく、インスタレーションや、オープニングイベントの間に作り上げるものであったりと、芸術的表現の方法も多くの場面で必要とされている。
オープン以来、地元のアーティスト、国際的アーティストなどの展覧会を開催してきた。ギャラリーでは展示が長期間に及ぶことはなく、アーティストや作品のパワー、イマジネーションなどで世界を変えていけるアーティストを応援している。

Translation: Kazunari Hongo Being closer to the development and evolutional cycles of young art today than most traditional galleries, the heliumcowboy artspace represents the best in present, urban, modern art by showcasing only artists who are capable of pushing boundaries, are a little underground and whose aesthetic is the forecast of art.
Building upon an integrated approach, art is not simply displayed but staged, amplified and created during the opening events, using all forms of this generations artistic expressions.
Since the opening, the gallery has showcased over 26 local and international artists, such as Nina Braun, Rinzen, Luiza Mogosanu, Boris Hoppek, 44flavours, Alex Diamond, Neasden Control Centre, Moki or Ki Yoon Ko, to name a few.
Because the people behind the heliumcowboy artspace don’t believe in long exhibition listings and cv’s, but solely in the aesthetic, imaginativeness and power of the artists and their work, the gallery is establishing emerging artists who are breaking the mold of the art world.
