有田焼は、九州・佐賀県有田町を中心に焼かれる磁器で、日本が誇る伝統工芸品。その窯元のひとつで200年の歴史を持つ「弥左ェ門窯」（創業1804年）の七代目Arita porcelain is one of Japanese traditional crafts, which is mainly made in a town called Arita, Saga in Kyushu area. Opened in 2006 to feature Arita porcelain wares、松本哲氏がプロデュースする有田焼のアンテナショップ「ARITA PORCELAIN LAB（アリタ・ポーセリン・ラボ）」は、2006年にオープン。有田焼の伝統技法を後世に伝えることを使命に、有田焼を現代のライフスタイルに合うように進化させた商品を世に送り出している。
店舗は有田町の文化財指定の歴史的建造物を改装したもので、店舗設計は、福岡を拠点に活動する建築事務所、株式会社ケイスの一ノ瀬勇氏が手掛けた。古色な外観とは打って変わり、内装は錆鉄と漆喰で構成される壁と鉄の什器だけの無駄を省いた空間となっており、シンプルなデザインの和食器を引き立たせ、見事な調和を演出している。
アリタ・ポーセリン・ラボの商品は、ザ・リッツ・カールトンや、マンダリン・オリエンタル東京、伊右衛門サロン京都など、数多くの施設・店舗で使用、販売されている。
日常で使ってこそ分かる、手に馴染む独特の感覚は、有田焼ならでは。オンラインでも購入可能だが、全国の取扱店で実際に手触りを感じてみて欲しい。

http://www.aritaware.com, Arita Porcelain Lab is a shop produced by Tetsu Matsumoto, who is the 7th of the historical pottery Yazaemongama (established in 1804). It aims to pass down their traditional technique of Arita porcelain, and delivers evolved new products that was made to match Arita Porcelain to the modern life.
The shop is located in the renovated historical building that is designated as cultural asset of Arita-cho. The shop was designed by Mr. Isamu Ichinose of an architectural office Case, whose work base is in Fukuoka. Compare to the old look of the exterior, the interior space consists of the simply designed wall and shelves made out of rusted steel and plaster, which enhances the simple Japanese style tableware.
The Arita Porcelain Lab products can been found at various places and shops including The Ritz-Carlton, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Tokyo, Yemon Salon Kyoto Cafe, etc.
