Opened in Shimo-Kawabata-cho in Hakata, Fukuoka in May 2010, BISTRO IUKI is a Mediterranean restaurant launched by the owner and chef Matsuoka, who has experienced in 4 different cities of Tokyo, Italy, and Spainホテルのフレンチから始まり東京、イタリア、スペインなど各４都市で経験を積んだオーナーシェフ・松岡氏の地中海料理を主としたお店「BISTRO IUKI（ビストロ イウキ）」が、2010年5月、福岡市博多区下川端町にオープンした。
手書きのヨーロッパ地図が印象的なシンプルでスタイリッシュな店内は、福岡を拠点に活動する「MOVEDESIGN」の坂本幹男氏が設計した。無意味な装飾や壁を排除し、かつ心地良く機能的な空間は、そのままオーナーシェフの料理への姿勢に通じるものがある。
ここでは、無農薬野菜、魚介類、黒毛和牛、糸島豚、など、九州・福岡の新鮮な食材にこだわった本格的なビストロ料理をたのしむことができる。メニューは、ランチやコース、グランドメニューが揃っており、ワインの種類も豊富。毎日変わるメニューも必見だ。

The inside of simple and stylish restaurant was designed by the Fukuoka-based Mikio Sakamoto from MOVEDESIGN. Taking out meaningless decorations and walls, it still has a functional space, which gets across the sense of the owner chef toward food.
