Judith Christina

Frankfurt is known for a gateway city to Germany as well as one of the significant economic centers in the world.

Among other various well-known artists in fashion, art and music, Judith Christina delivers a wide variety of cultural information and fashion in Frankfurt on her blog “Frankfurt Fashion”. Going through the blog, you will find out she is very active who might know everything about Frankfurt, where she is deeply attached to.

Please tell us yourself and your recent activity.

My name is Judith-Christina and beside graduating in law I started editing Frankfurt Fashion. Aside from that I´m working as a recruiter and doing some freelance editoring. I founded the blog Frankfurt Fashion about half a year ago to build a platform for creative life, fashion and scene in Frankfurt. Always with an open eye to the world of fashion. I wanted to share my information about fashion, music and art scene with other interested people. Half of my readers come from Frankfurt, the other half is informing theirselves about the creative life in Frankfurt. I get a lot of request from all over the world with questions “where to go” in Frankfurt. I hope to show that there is not just the stock exchange and skyscrapers in Frankfurt. For future I´m interested in writing for magazines and newspapers.

Please tell us about your city, and how about living in your city for yourself/activity.

I really like living in Frankfurt. On the one hand you have very good conditions in studying, a good university and a good economic basic to find a job. And on the other hand we have quite a wide spectrum of creative life. The difference to cities like Berlin or Barcelona is, that you have to look for the creative life. While working around the city center most people are dressed up in a boring, but posh way. But if you visit Nordend or Sachsenhausen you find nice, small café bars, record stores, yound designer and interesting people. I really like the mix. And to the most places you can walk or drive with a good underground train system.

Please tell us a favourite places in the city you live and work in.

In summer I prefer the river bank of the river main. People sitting together at the river bank, eating, drinking and just enjoying their evening. Special place is “Yachtclub” by Hand Romanov. It´s a small ship where parties take place in the summer with selected Dj´s and most of the visitors are cretives and work in Frankfurt´s art scene. During the day you can get coffeé and self made cakes there and relax with a great view over the river and the skyscrapers.

For winter time I prefer Moloko. Here you can have your coffeé during the day or drink cocktails and red wine until the early morning hours. If you get hungry they help you with finest italian snacks. Environment is very relaxed with 50ies furniture.

For shopping my first choice is AZITA store. You can find international designer such as Henrik Vibskov, WoodWood, Surface to Air, Bless and many more high streetware designers. And while looking around the shop the sympathic owners serve you some mocca. For brands as Filippa K., Acne or PoPCph it´s me visiting Pulse&Vogue. And if I´m hungry for music I visit Freebase record store for some electronic music vinyl.

For dancing in the night I prefer club Robert-Johnson. It´s in Offenbach, just next to Frankfurt. International Dj´s like Ricardo Villalobos, Paul Kalkbrenner, Move D aswell as local heroes make people moving to relaxed house tunes. It´s just a small room with white walls and a big balcony with a wide few over the river main – but probalbly the best house parties in Germany take place here every weekend.
